THESPIS is the NUS Theatre Studies Society that provides a platform for budding theatre practitioners to hone their skills–be it at playwriting, directing, acting or (the traditionally hidden but oh-so-important) behind-the-scene production work that includes lighting, costume/ makeup design, props/ set design, marketing & publicity and logistics. Stage management and production management are also essential skills that are picked up along the way.
We are actively involved in the local theatre scene, celebrating diverse performance styles and striving to bridge the gap between the existing theatre circle and new theatre enthusiasts–like you!
Under the guidance of the Dept of English Language and Literature and our three esteemed lecturers–A/P Yong Li Lan, A/P Grant Shen and Dr K K Seet, we look forward to even more creative collaborations that will both entertain and challenge.
